Evie is incredibly mobile now. She just itches to walk, and crawls around our house looking for something to do. And she finds it--usually in the pantry. I caught her eating handfuls of flour (at least it was whole wheat--do you think she's malnourished? She was downing it like there's no tomorrow!), and I now have to keep the pantry door tightly shut.
A week or two ago she was being far too quiet in her bedroom, and this is why.
I have yet to find anything more appealing to toddlers than a new package of wipes. I should let her do this anytime, but instead I treat wipes like they're precious--because they ARE! Run out of those babies at the wrong time, and all the money in the world isn't going to help you.
So I'm glad you had your fun, little Evie J--and that I caught it on camera before I cleaned it up. Someday I'll look back and miss your little floury hand-prints on the tile.

What?! This is uncanny. I just caught Ezra in the pantry eating handfuls of SUGAR (I would've taken flour any day!) and while I was cleaning that up and I thought Ezra was taking a nap, I found him in his crib with the wet wipes container emptied and lotion all over his face. Imagine the havoc these two could wreak if they hung out together.... dun dun dun!!!
Oh Jess- Little Evie is too precious! Way to have an eternal perspective. I can't tell you how many times the wet wipe thing happens around here-- in fact just this morning... but they do change so fast, we've just got to enjoy these funny moments.
Thanks for sharing a little slice of Evie's life with us! I wish I could have a Grandma Day with her. She is so adorable! I remember catching Abe or Lydia or someone in the flour--- covered from head to toe. My kids didn't just eat it, they used it as dusting powder. I heard them coughing downstairs and that's what gave it away.

SO TRUE! Words to live by, my friend.
